Reeling in the number four spot on Tripadvisors Top 10 Quirkiest New Year’s Eve Events, this fishy festivity is a big tradition in Port Clinton, so local businesses are getting prepared to offer Walleye specialty food.
Noon Year’s Eve, Toledo Zoo
Celebrate the “Noon” Year and make your “reZOOloutions” at the Toledo Zoo for their Noon Year’s Eve extravaganza. A perfect family event for the little ones who can’t quite stay up until midnight. They’ll still get to enjoy all the hype and celebration of New Year’s, just a bit earlier. The ball will rise at the stroke of noon and you can raise a toast to the New Year with some tasty juice. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on December 31, kids can race down the Ice Slide in the Amphitheatre, watch ice carving demonstrations, make cool drafts in the African Lodge and more!

For those of you who want to jump into 2015 with a big celebration, First Night Columbus, Central Ohio’s award-winning New Year’s Eve celebration is a community event for the whole family. There is always something for everyone with 40 live performances including jazz, funk, ragtime, storytelling and magic. There are also hands-on activities and a children’s festival for the little ones.

Take New Year’s Eve by storm in Cincinnati with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The evening will feature the vocals of Storm Large. The festivities continue with a New Year’s Eve Ball after the concert with dinner, live music and a champagne toast at midnight. The event is held at the Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine.
